I might be alone when I say this, and if so, take it with a grain of salt. I'm not a fan of the new downloads page. I don't care for the idea that all the addons you guys have created is just thown in the mix with other Addons. What about a section for SolidIce's Add-ons. then a Section for other common addons?
oMail Issues...I think.
So I'm going to make this post again, since it seems to have disappeared.I've recently installed Omail...well I've started using icebox, and it included Omail, which is fine with me, but I found a little bug. When I'm trying to send mail to someone it bugs out on me. I open the send tab and as soon as I try to type a name it closes the Mail window. I open the mail back up, try again, same thing, It takes 3-4 times before it will actaully let me type the name in. I think this is an bug, but can I get some guidance.
oMail Issues...I think.
I've just started using oMail, but one thing that I notice it the first time I go to the mailbox, I open it and when I try to click on a message, it opens it, then closes both it and my mailbox instantly. It takes about 3 times of opening my mailbox, then everything acts as normal. Anyone else having the same issue?frito, if those 5 seconds are just such a travesty for you, then just uninstall oQueue.Tiny, My point is that the way you talk when you are defending the updates makes you sound like an ass. Since you are going to update Oqueue every 2-3 days, despite the complaints, fine, but instead of responding to every complaint you should just ignore them and not make posts defending your stance, just put a sticky up saying that its what happens, accept it or move on. Ignoring the complaints instead of taking them as a personal attack will make you look better in the long run.
you're doing me no favors by 'graciously' downloading it. it's free. i barely get the server and accounts paid for by ad revenue.
the attitude is just amazing
Guys stop bitching about updates. We don't need You, It's the best multiserver addon so be gratefull that You can use it free of charge.Baku, Charging for an Add-on would be against WoW's ToS, and would get it kicked to the curb faster than a zerg rush.
this irritates me.. and im sure theres hundreds of others that agree.. OQ needs to stop updating more than once a week, it is far too often when i can freshly update my addon, only to log on the next day to see its updated again and limits my usage, please take this into consideration, maybe 1 update a week atleast.Comotis, there is no point in complaining. The mods have made it very clear that they are going update the program whenever the hell they want to, and will continue to ignore the users requests for limited updates. Icebox does make it easy, they keep trying to whore that on us too. All we can hope for is that with WoD, Blizzard will add a function that that takes the place of Oqueue, so we can kick them to the curb.
one thing to tell anyone that complains about frequent updates... DBM pushes multiple updates to curse ... everydayWhich is only partially true. IF you are have it set to download all alpha/beta versions of DBM, then yes, BUT if you are running ONLY the release version (which is recommended). Then no, you are wrong. DBM's last update was May 31st, before that was May 16th.
DBM updating pre-release versions everyday is not the same as Oqueue releasing production versions every 2-3 days.
What i find interesting is that most programers listen to their end users and try to work to make their product work how their end users would like it to. You all just say eff you, we are doing it how we want, we don't care what the end user wants, and if you complain about it we will lock the thread. That being said, I've accepted this fact and will use Oqueue until something better with creators that care what their end users think. The unfortunate reality is that Oqueue is a really great matchmaking program and right now is the best way to find raid groups. So I accept it, that doesn't mean that I like it.

"You don't have to log out of game to install the new version everytime."
I've found that actually you do. Icebox crashes if you are in game.
"Why somany updates: oQueue is immensly complicated, and there is only one guy writing all of the code. Unfortunately this leads to us not being able to test every scenario, so there are normally bugs with new versions. We opt to fix these bugs ASAP. Rather than not releasing an update, for the sake of just not releasing an update."
...means "We don't really know what we are doing, and got in over our heads, but now the addon is so popular we feel like we have to fix it everyday, and by doing so pisses off our users, instead of having a consistant update schedule, which could keep our users more happy and not have comment after comment complaining about another update since the one 2 days ago."
Seriously. ANOTHER UPDATE. You guys are to the point of embarassing yourselves. I mean 5 updates in the month of June, and there is till a week left. This many updates means you need to go back to school and work on your programing skills. I have to say, I'm not longer mad about the updates, I laugh, I laugh hard at the fact that you all are too stupid to get it right the first time, or the second, or the third, or the 4th, or 5th, or 6th....
ANOTHER FU***** UPDATE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!
Where is thei "Icebox" you speak up. If its an addon, then why is it not listed under "Addons" at the top of the page???
I checked one last time, and found it under "Apps". Come on, get your shit together, if you are going to call it an "App" on the page refer to it as an "App" when responding in the forums.
Edited - Do not use foul language.
3 MAJOR COMPLAINTS.
1) The list scrolls so fast sometimes that I go to click to join waitlist and I end up joining a queue 3-4 spots off from the one I want to.
2) How come when I queue, after 3-5 minutes I'm no longer queue on a list, so I have to requeue.
3) STOP UPDATING SO OFTEN. In the last 3 months it seems like its once a week, and I've found if I'm not up to date, I'm not getting all of the possible queues. How about combining the updates and cutting down on the frequency of them.

To be honest, for those 3 reason, I've almost unstalled Oqueue, a few times. I know you want to have it set up so that the most users can use it, BUT, you are working backwards and annoying people that want a easy to use interface!
