wait.. there's a blog for the site too? why is it not linked in the menu above?
edit: oh.. nvm.. foot met mouth.... i'm so used to accessing the site via bookmarks that i don't even notice the front page anymore. :)
edit2: on the other hand... it could be useful if a preview of the most recent blog post would appear on the right side in the sidebar on all forum pages. That way we can see the news faster.
in case you haven't noticed, Blizzard has disabled temporarily one of the major data input sources for activity tracking: raid kills are no longer appearing at the bottom of your armoury page. What's left to track is loot, quests and achievements. These work for activity tracking too but give quite a bit less points for the raffle activity tracker.
Blizzard promised that the raid tracker will be back after WoD is released.
What do you mean by one thread per activity though?
well.. i see now that you added the 2 sidebars back... what i mean is the "recent replies" sidebar.. (second box)...i find it much more useful than the first box and i use it to know which thread has had a reply added... but having the same thread listed there more than once is annoying...
for example, as i write this message there are 3 lines for "Site bugs" in that box, one after another...try to make it so that it only displays one line per thread with the latest person to reply... maybe add a small counter for thread posts and/or a date/time column there too to show the timestamp of the latest change... but definitely do not let it show multiple lines for the same thread.
also, try to disable the "recent topics" side box that's above the "recent replies" box and merge its function with the second box (i.e. show a thread in the active threads list even the if it has one single post).. maybe extend a bit the number of lines allocated for this box too...
Keep the newly formed "recent threads with activity" list sorted by the date/time of the most recent activity on that thread, with the most recently active thread at top...
Ron, after today's site layout change i'm missing the old 'recent forum activity' panel in the right side.. can you please bring it back?
The forums seem too cluttered to me, we need that recent forum activity list... make it one thread per line on the activity overview though.. not multiple lines as it was before. If a forum thread gets a fresh reply then that thread should be bumped up on the activity panel.
Jen, oQueue v3 has actually dropped ALL the old communications channels and is using the game's built-in raid finder, it has become another interface for the group finder... the problem is that the blizzard API for it is clunky and sluggish as hell at returning results
you can't be banned globally in oQueue v3 since oQueue has pretty much ceased functioning using battletag comms these days... the only remaining global bans are the permanent bans built-in for hacking... and i think even those are not used by oqueue v3 these days
i think the only remaining bans are the personal bans of players...maybe you only ended up on someone's personal ban/ignore list.
nope.. no boss kills tracked on my toons... but there's still loot and achievement tracking, including achievements for boss kill... i think you can use loot + achievements for activity tracking for the raffles.

*keeps fingers crossed hoping for oGear freeze fix* :)
with patch 6.0 Blizzard pretty much killed battle.net addon data communications so the cross-realm mesh is impossible to create...

for the status before the patch hit us...
at the moment Tiny is trying to transition oQueue into an interface for Blizzard's grup finder using the limited API available... give him some time, and maybe a few beers :)
i dont use ElvUI, i have the normal Blizz UI and the problem happens when i open the character info.. no matter if i look at my own gear or at another player's...
