OQUEUE LAGS MY GAME HARD.

My suggestion would be to curtail the use of scorekeeper or at least allow it to be disabled. The anciallry feature of oqueue are causing latency and fps issues as well as the yet to be resolved issue of battlenet going offline when switching to alts.

Seeing how almost everyone uses oqueue for making groups and raids, can we work toward being able to control the aspects we do not use but tend to eat away at limited resources?
the scorekeeper is no weight whatsoever to the average client. it returns some btags to connect you to the mesh and helps sync your time with mesh time. without that functionality, it just wouldn't work. the score themselves come along for the ride and have zero impact on performace (unless a message every 30 seconds is slowing you down)

b.net going on or off line shouldn't be an issue for anyone that has the latest. communications have been further optimized to take advantage of bundling, which in turn reduced the total number of b.net messages by 50-80%

i sit in 2-moons with a fairly good connection and receive no such slowdowns. then again, i also use only a handful of addons. might i suggest disabling all addons except oQueue and see how your system performs
I have nothing really new to report other than to add myself to the list of folks experiencing stuttering lag. When I disable oqueue, it disappears, and I, like others, have taken to turning of oqueue until I need it. I don't have much technical experience, so I can't offer much more than that.

The lag is not major. Most of the time, I can live with it. It's not even long periods of lag. The screen stutters--I'll have several seconds of 60-80 fps with a fraction of a second dropping to ~15-25, and it continues to happen until I disable oqueue. I have noticed that it even happens when I'm not in a busy area, such as away from the shrine and out in a low population part of the world. When I'm running the group, waiting for my wait list to fill, the stuttering happens more often. If I'm merely looking up groups to join, it doesn't seem to be as bad. It's also not as bad when I'm actually in the raid, though I do still notice some stuttering.
seems communicating with b.net has a chance to introduce some lag if network conditions are iffy. as such, i've moved the timer loop, which is reposible for sending messages, into a coroutine to get it off the main UI thread. this should get out of the way of UI rendering and stop any impact on fps

look for it in 1.9.6

It also makes me lag when I am using it to form a group. The solution to the problem I've found without having to turn the addon off is as follows.

#1.) Open OQ.
#2.) Go to the "Setup" tab on the bottom.
#3.) Fourth from the bottom on the right, click the check mark off for "Auto join oqgeneral channel."

Once that's clicked, the game immedietely goes back up in FPS.

Cheers,
M.

Note: If this is clicked off, you will not be able to see any of the raids, bg's, arena's etc until it's clicked back on. If you're ready to start looking again, repeat the steps above, and click it back on. The lag will resume, but you can see the groups and be able to form your own groups (if it's clicked off, your wait list will not fill), or join others.

That works for me - pretty nice and easy fix
Please keep in mind that disabling auto join oQ general will reduce the # of connections you have becuase you will not communicate with persons on your realm, unless they are also on your friends list.

This is ok if you have a lively friends list, but otherwise this will effect the # of groups you see.
hi,

sry not sure if this is even related, or has already been solved, and is anything of value to add, but, i can report of apparent fps lag aswell (for current and previous versions of oqueue) , which happens only after oqueue has been on wait ppl joining my waitlist for many hours.

possibly when its especccialy much traffic, such as the night right before reset and you make a group for a (esp. garrosh) raid, and have had waitlist on for many hours, when its so many ppl who are joining the waitlist that it gets full within minutes and needs to be purged between wipes to maintain the freshness of ppl listed (to avoid having ppl being unavilable when u try inv them, and list full and only containing old records).
these times it gets laggy again every hour or few , but i found its simply solved (for a while) by doing a /reload though, which also keeps and mtaintains the waitlist still.
so not really an issue. but weird.. n i guess just cos of heavy traffic, but for some reason apparently only after first being on for many hours, i think..
oh well, with the benefit of such heavy traffic/influx of ppl queuing and having to choose form, as a RL then I happily take a minute for the /reload every hour or few as needed for that, so may be worth it if hard to get around anyway and not smoething that botehrs me too much =)
