False Adblock Alarm

Hi,
I got your new "anti Adblock" page and adjusted my adblock plugin to ignore your site. So ads are enabled.
But still I will be redirected to the anti Adblock page man times. :(
Only if i disable my plugin completely, it seems to work.
I have no problem to enable ads on your site, but I am not willing to disable by plugin for all sites just because of your site. :/
Thankyou for the report. I am working on a "bug" in the system.

I apologize for the inconvenience.
Could you tell me more about your browsing situation?
What browser are you using?
Are you on a desktop or mobile device?
What is your screen resolution (if you know it).

Also, what adblock do you use?
Same issue here. Running Firefox v28.00 on Windows 7 laptop. Disabled ABP for solidice.com but still being redirected to the adblock page. I've cleared cache and cookies and restarted FF. I'm able to view the www.solidice.com once, when I click a link or reload I get sent right back to the redirect page. Had to disable javascript to get here.
I've disabled the adblock feature for the time being. Can you please confirm that you are now able to navigate normally?
Not OP, but i'm having this issue as well... Got ABP disabled on soldice.com and I keep getting redirected unless I turn off javascript for this site.
Are you using firefox?

Also, are you navigating away from the page? Once you have the adblock disabled you need to navigate back to the site with the back arrow.
It should now redirect you if the ads show however.

I appreciate everyone patience as I work on this.
I am apalled and disgusted by the decision to block AdBlock users.

While I respect everyone wants to make money I do not understand why Tiny feels it necessary to punish people for wanting to block ads and prevent potential viruses. How selfish!

Also, as the author and developer of the third party Broker oQueue I will likely now receive abuse from other irate users because of this.

I will not disable/uninstall AdBlock just for the sake of one WoW addon. I would much rather uninstall oQueue, drop all support and move on without you.

You have a choice. Get rid of this wall or risk losing the majority of your userbase.
-"I am apalled and disgusted".
Right back at you. Sorry we don't want to work for free.
-"How selfish!"
Same argument could be made about a user base whom consumes a service and offers nothing in return. (when adblock is enabled).
-"majority of your userbase."
If the majority of our userbase is using adblock we might aswell close shop right now.

On this site we do not use popup ads, or ads which are placed / configured to trick users. Almost every ad is labeled as an "advertisement". We take measures to reduce the effect the ads have on the viewing experience.
I agree with Ronn.

you can whitelist just solidice.com if you wish. allowing the ads helps offset costs associated with dev, test, support, and bandwidth.

of course, none of this would be required if we charged for the addon similar to a smart phone app. but blizz takes a dim view of that (tho some devs do it without ramifications). as a half step, ads were introduced. we could introduce a premium account that would remove ads from paying members... but that's not currently in the cards (but has been discussed)

if you have an alternative solution, we're all ears.

then again, if you feel being exposed to ads is beyond the pale, and don't want to participate in any compensation mechanisms for those bringing you the tech, so be it.
